How long is an engagement/couple shoot?

A couples / engagement shoot is a great way to relax and get used to having your photo taken. I can go to any location in the Manchester, Lancashire area, the quirkier the better. Unfortunately I cannot do a couples / Engagement shoot outside the Manchester, Lancashire area. All my engagement/couple shoots are approx 1 hour to 2 hours. During this time I will cover the required number of photographs as listed per your requirements. If you would like a longer session or need me for a longer period of time, this can be arranged at an additional cost. An engagement/couple shoot will cost £100ph. You will receive the photos via download from an internet link and you can use them for save the dates or prints, or to share with family and friends.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

The retainer to secure any date is £300. This can be paid by PayPal or bank transfer. Your booking is not secured until the retainer has been paid. After paying your retainer I will email you an invoice.

05
Can I pay you when I receive my photos?

No. The balance due after your retainer is required on your wedding date latest. For full day photography this due balance will be £300. This can be paid before your wedding date by PayPal or on the day itself by bank transfer.

Do you cover weddings outside of Manchester?

Unfortunately not any more. I now only cover weddings within the Manchester, Lancashire area.

07
Can I give you a list of photos to take?

Yes. If you need specific images such as formalities etc that must not be missed I always ask for a list of important images such as groupings with family etc and any requirements you may need.

If you would like specific photos that you have seen in magazines or on the internet, it is almost impossible to replicate exact images, but I would give it a good try! I recommend my clients to send me a 'mood board' or collection of images they like so I can understand the emotions you would like portrayed.

All photography related topics in regard to arrangements and photography requirements will be discussed nearer the day of your wedding so everything we discuss will be fresh in our minds for the day. This will be a meeting where I will travel to your home to save you travelling about, I prefer the personal touch.

09

No, I will usually bring my own food and only eat when you're eating. However I will never turn down the offer of a meal!

What does your Full Day Wedding Coverage include?

My £600 fee is what I call the unlimited package. By that I mean I cover your whole day covering from Bridal Prep to your First dance, or 9am to 9pm.

If you think that your wedding may exceed these hours, or you will be requiring coverage before 9am or after 9pm, let me know and I can let you know what the additional costs will be. Normally before 9am or after 9pm I usually charge an additional fee of £100 per hour.

If full day photography is not required, please get in touch for a quote.

There are a few parts of the day to consider when allowing enough time, and what to expect. I have broken each part down to help with your planning of the day.

BRIDAL PREP

I aim to capture everything in detail, such as your dress, shoes, flowers, jewellery and hair and makeup. I won't be in the way of anyone, and will capture everything as it happens.

GROOM PREP

If the groom is getting ready in the same hotel/place as the bride, it makes photographing both bridal prep and groom prep easy. If the groom is just down the street, I can do a little groom prep no problem. Unfortunately, with me working on my own, I cannot cover both bridal prep and groom prep if the groom is too far away. I have to make bridal prep my first priority. It is whichever is most preferable for the couple, bride or groom. It will be likewise for same sex couples.

FAMILY FORMALS

I aim to take your family photos using minimal time. I allow for 20-30 minutes for all the group photos depending on how many you choose to have. Ushers can be very helpful to gather people required for pictures during this period!

Bride and Groom shot with all guests
Bride and Groom with whole wedding party confetti photos
Bride and Groom with Brides immediate family (parents and siblings)
Bride and Groom with Grooms immediate family (parents and siblings)
Bride and Groom with both sets of parents
Bride and Groom with Bridesmaids and Groomsmen
Bride with Bridesmaids
Groom with Groomsmen etc.

COUPLES PORTRAITS

My favourite part of the day, and always great fun, is capturing portrait photos of the bride and groom. I would allow 20 mins to half an hour for this after the group photos, but allow enough time for you to go back to your guests before your wedding breakfast. The majority of the time we take these outside, though sometimes, especially during the winter months, may take the photos inside. Either way, your photos will look amazing!

NATURAL PHOTOS

Throughout the day, I will try and capture as many natural shots as possible, in fact I will never put my cameras down! The only time I stop taking photos is when people are eating during the wedding breakfast or buffet. The best time to capture those special times is when the guests are arriving, after the ceremony when your guests are congratulating you, during speeches and after the wedding breakfast when everyone is relaxing.

ROOM DETAILS

You put a lot of effort into decorating your venue, I want to capture the details as much as possible. Straight after your portraits I will go into the wedding breakfast room for around 10 minutes and snap away, taking as many photos as possible of all the details.

VENUE

It has most likely taken you a long time to pick the perfect venue, a place to hold all of those special memories. I will capture this, either prior to bridal prep or during your wedding breakfast, depending on time. No stone will be left unturned.

EPIC PHOTOS

In the evening after your meal, I will take the bride and groom off for 20 minutes or so and create something really special. This of course is optional, but I would highly recommend it. I can take a little bit more time to set up my lights and create something dramatic.

FIRST DANCE & PARTY

Between 8-8.30pm you will cut your cake and go straight into your first dance. This is a great time for me to capture the fun of your wedding. I will stay for a couple of songs after the first dance to capture the fun of the dance floor. If there is something extra special you are planning for the evening I would love to hear about it.

Can I get all my photos or more than you deliver?

You will receive up to 300 edited images, depending on how the day goes, as I will be taking photos all day. The only photos that will be excluded are those that are not photographically correct, or are ones that are too similar to images already included in your collection. Those photos that are not photographically correct or are too similar will not be edited and will not be included in your collection. Unedited images will not be given to couples under any circumstances. The editing is important and is what gives the images that magic touch so they look their best for you. Those 300 that will be included will be enough to tell the story of the day and nothing will be missed out. I just do not have enough time to edit all the photographs taken as I edit each image individually, and it will make the waiting time a lot longer.

How will I receive my images?

The £600 price includes printing and display copyrights for the high resolution photographs in a password protected online gallery which I will send to you via an internet link from my chosen website which is called pixieset.com. You will be able to view your collection as a beautiful gallery on pixieset.com and also be able to download your images from this site to do with as you wish. Either using them on the internet or having them printed out to frame and to put in an album etc. The online album can also be shared with family and friends so they can view and download your collection for free. Usually most couples will be happy with the online album, but if you require I can also include your images on an optional USB as well as the online album on request. This has to be requested otherwise you will only receive the online album. At this time I do not produce prints or printed albums. The online collection will be available to view and download for 30 days from the day they were published.

Do you do installments?

Unfortunately no. Wedding Photography can be expensive if you want a good qualified photographer to capture the moments of your special day. My price of £600 is a very competitive price and will be broken up into two payments of £300 on booking and £300 on the day.

How long in advance should I book?

I get asked all the time, is it too soon to book? The answer is no. More often than not my couples book me 1-3 years in advance, giving lots of time for planning. However, my wedding bookings tend to be spread out throughout the year, so feel free to contact me anytime, I may be available even if your wedding is next week.

I have been a wedding photographer at 94 weddings now since 2014, so I am very experienced in what I do.
